Madelyn paused, her hands still. "There's an agreement in place. It should be fine. That cunning Chelsey won't do anything foolish," she replied, her voice laced with a mix of concern and disdain.
"It's because she's smart enough," Harold commented, turning to face Madelyn. “Yesterday, our presence was the only reason Chelsey didn't speak out of turn. With no one to intimidate her today, what good is that agreement if she decides to tell Jason everything?"
