Chapter: 1443
"Curious about what?" Eva questioned after a long time of silence.

Rachel did not know what to say next. So, she just continued staring at Eva with a complicated gaze.

With a smile, Eva added, “I've witnessed too many things already. In my line of work, showing curiosity in everything will just cause me a lot of trouble. Do you know what my mentor first taught me? Always close my eyes and cover my ears."

Close my eyes and cover my ears...

Suddenly, Rachel was looking at Eva with wide eyes. Those words sounded so familiar.

The phone in her pocket vibrated, jolting Rachel back to reality.

It was a message from Wallace. He had arrived at Valmead Club.

Outside the door to the private room of Valmead Club, Rachel placed an earpiece in her right ear.

After she tapped it twice, Quintin's voice came from the small device.

"I'm here."

Rachel put down her hand as soon as she heard him. Then, she touched the U disk in her pocket and knocked on the door.

“Come in." Wallace sounded a little muffled as he answered from inside the room.

Since he let her in, Rachel slowly pushed the door open.

The sight of her immediately brought him out of his seat to walk towards her. Anxious, he asked, “Why are you so late? You promised that-"
