Chapter: 1476
However, God was looking at him.

God remembered him and put him in Wallace's path. Meeting Wallace was going to play in his favor. Now, he was sure that he could have a chance against his colleagues. He just needed to make good use of this open door. If he did well, Wallace might very well be his ticket to staying in Sullivan Group.

Larson nodded with a smile and then asked respectfully, "Where are you going to, Mr. Finch? I can take you there."

"The 32nd floor," Wallace answered.

The intern tried to hide his excitement. Everyone knew who was on the 32nd floor.

This was getting better and better for him. He told the people around to wait, and then pressed the elevator button for Wallace.

Shortly after, the elevator doors opened.

Larson pressed the button for the 32nd floor and looked at Wallace.

"You can go in now, sir."

Wallace was a little scared as he stared at the elevator. He was trapped in there and almost died. His hesitation was normal. He didn't think he was safe in an elevator anymore.

Larson wasn't as smart as those graduate students, but if there was one thing he was good at, it was reading people. The expression on

Wallace's face made him understand what happened in the elevator earlier.

"You don't need to worry, Mr. Finch. I will keep an eye on this elevator. If anything goes wrong, I will immediately inform the security department," Larson said in a gentle, yet respectful way.

Wallace looked at the man for a while, and then finally nodded.

He walked into the elevator and the doors slowly closed. The intern watched from outside as the LED screen above the elevator constantly changed numbers and finally stopped at the number 32.

As the elevator doors opened, Wallace fixed his clothes and took a deep breath before walking out.

He went straight to the CEO's office and stopped at the door.

After knocking twice, he readied his smile and held the U disk tightly. Then he grabbed the doorknob and pushed the door open.

“Mr.

Sullivan-"

Before he could finish his greeting, he caught of glance a familiar figure in the room, making him pause in surprise.

After a careful look at the woman's back, his eyes grew a fraction wide.

No way. It couldn't be!

"You are late," Odin noted coldly.

Wallace returned to his senses and shifted his gaze to Odin, who was darting a cold look at him.
