Chapter: 1499
"Okay then. But be careful not to kill him," Odin reminded. His tone sounded casual, but there was something in his voice that made people feel chilly.

Meanwhile, in the Bennet family's house, Lila was already getting anxious.

"Joey! Joey!"

She searched the house and yard for a long time, but there wasn't any trace of Joey.

Early in the morning, Rachel had gone out of the house. Since then,

Lila reheated the breakfast twice, but Joey was yet to come out of his room. Thus, she became worried.

Eventually, she went upstairs and knocked on the door for a long time. But she didn't hear anything from inside. It was as if no one was in there.

About ten minutes later, Lila got more anxious. Even though Joey reiterated that he didn't like others entering his room without his permission, Lila had no choice but to knock on the door and say,

"Joey, I'm coming in." Then, she gently pushed the door open.

But as soon as she opened the door, she found out that there was no one in the room.

There was only a pillow on the bed, covered with a quilt.

Joey was missing!

Lila got so anxious that she kept looking for him in every corner of the house. Since she didn't see him go downstairs, she thought that

Joey might have gone and slept in another room.

However, she didn't find him anywhere within the house and yard.

It was cold outside, but Lila's forehead was covered with sweat. Left with no choice, she turned around, went back to the house, and was about to call Rachel.

But as soon as she picked up the phone to dial Rachel's number, the doorbell suddenly rang.

Lila hurriedly put down the phone and went to check the monitor. To her relief, she saw Carson and Joey standing outside the door.

She was so happy that she immediately opened the door.

"Joey!" Lila almost ran just to make sure that Joey was alright.

Seeing the anxious look on Lila's face, Joey knew that she was so worried. He called out obediently, "Lila..."

Lila stood in front of him, looking at him up and down.

“Joey, where have you been? I've been looking for you for a long time. I didn't even see you go out. If you had not come back sooner, I wouldn't know how I'd explain it to your mother."

Of course, it was a bit mysterious.

She didn't see him come out of his room, but he suddenly got missing.
