Chapter: 1505
What would be the poor child's reaction if he found out that Victor was in such a bad condition? Rachel couldn't bring herself to break the news.

“\ihat?" Joey blinked his eyes and looked at her expectantly.

"Nothing," Rachel replied, lifting the corners of her lips. She was doing her best to appear natural.

"I just want to know what you would like to have for supper. I want to cook for you."

"But it's only noon and I haven't even had lunch yet. Why are you talking about supper already?" Joey could tell that something was wrong.

"Well, I just feel like cooking all of a sudden. Didn't I promise to prepare something delicious for you some time ago?"

Rachel avoided his sight. She was worried that she might give herself away.

"Very well then," Joey paused for a short while. Then he asked, “How about pizza?"

"That's fine with me."

Joey threw himself into her arms. Not only had he reconciled with his father, but his mother was also cooking for him. He was very pleased.

"This is so awesome!"

When Rachel heard those words, she lowered her head, touched his ear and asked, "What do you mean by that?"

“I Like the way things are now. I wish they could always be this way."

Joey looked at her.

Rachel pursed her lips and didn't say anything. She understood what

Joey meant.

“Quintin will come to Apliaria." Rachel lifted him up and gently put him on the sofa.

"What?" Joey was a little surprised.

“Why? Isn't he always busy with work? How come he's available now?

"He is coming to spend some time with you. Quintin misses you, having not seen you for a while. He has decided to postpone every appointment he has to come and see you. Joey, I think it would be wonderful if both of you spend some time together."

Joey had planned to visit Victor at Hector's place the following days.

This morning, Victor had fallen into a coma and burned with a high fever. The mere thought of it made Joey uneasy. He wanted to come up with an excuse to sneak out early the next morning. But if Quintin was around, it would be difficult for him to leave the house.

"What time will he be here?" Joey asked.

"The plane will arrive in Apliaria at six o'clock tomorrow morning."

"So early?" Joey couldn't hide his surprise. This meant that he wouldn't be able to go out to see his father.
