Chapter: 1552
"Tell him it's from me." Odin put down his pen and slowly lifted his head up.
"To cooperate, courtesy should be reciprocated, right? I'm sending a gift to the King of Hearts, and I want her to give me something in return."
It didn't take the man long to understand the true meaning of his words.
That bottle of water could never have been Wallace's life-saving straw.
However, anyone who was desperate enough would be delighted at the sight of hope, and that was what the bottle of water was.
Wallace caught the bottle that the guard threw at him and gulped down more than half of it.
When he thought that Odin hadn't given up on him, he felt a sharp pain in his insides, rendering him speechless. All he could do was open his eyes wide as he gasped and sobbed from the agonizing pain.
Figuring out that the water he just drank was poisoned, he tried to spit it out by puking his guts out.
However, his efforts were in vain.
He simply spat out a mouthful of blood and crumbled to the floor weakly. The blood in his throat soon coagulated and choked him.
Wallace struggled to grab onto something.
But then, only a moment later, his arms dropped weakly.
At that moment, a ray of light painted the warehouse. The door came open. Two men in black entered the warehouse and saw the pool of blood on the floor. Wallace struggled for his life until the very end, leaving a ghastly picture for everyone to witness.
“What should we do?"
"What can we do? Find a place to burn the body."
"But... What if someone finds out?"
"Like hell they will! You can rest assured. Mr. Sullivan will take care of everything. Don't worry too much. It has been so many years.
It's not the first time he's dealing with such a thing. Just hurry up and get him out of here."
Meanwhile, Rachel was about to leave the funeral home and go home alone, but since Andy was very worried about her, he asked her to at least let him drop her off.
He wanted her to tell him where she was going?
Rachel did not know where she was going or where she wanted to go.
But after seeing that he was determined, she thought for a while and decided to give him an answer.
After a forty-minute-long drive on the asphalt road, they arrived in the urban area before finally stopping in the yard of a villa.
“Rachel, why did you want to come here?" Looking at the signboard of the building in front of him, Andy knew that it was Gardenia.
After coming to her senses, Rachel realized that she had just given him the location mindlessly.
