Chapter: 1607
Mason glanced at Alberto, waiting for a reply, but the latter seemed to be in deep thought as his eyes darkened.
"I'm going to bed, Mason.” Alberto didn't answer Mason's question and stood up.
"If there is something that needs my attention, please wait until I wake up."
“Of course, sir. Have a good rest," Mason said and didn't ask more as he watched Alberto go upstairs to his bedroom.
Walking out of Alberto's place, Mason noticed his grandson, Greg
Davidson, leaning against a stone pillar.
Greg straightened up as soon as he saw Mason and walked up to him.
"You're out quickly, Grandpa. Is Alberto in a bad mood?"
Mason looked sidelong at Greg's leather jacket and smacked him with his cane.
“Where have you been? Why do you always go out?"
“Ouch! It hurts, Grandpa!" Wincing, Greg tried to dodge.
“Did you think I was playing around? Alberto is back, and I noticed the car in the garage was covered with dust, so I drove it to the car wash station."
After hearing Greg's explanation, Mason stopped hitting him and snorted.
“You're not senseless, after all."
Then, Mason slowly walked ahead with his cane. Greg followed behind him and asked, “How long does Alberto plan to stay in Apliaria? When will he leave?"
"It's none of your business," Mason scolded.
"He can leave whenever he wants."
Greg frowned, feeling wronged for being reprimanded.
“It's not Like
I'll do anything about it. I'm just curious."
“Stop prying about the Gibson family, especially Alberto," Mason warned as he stopped in his tracks.
Although Greg couldn't understand why he wasn't allowed to ask about the Gibson family and why his grandfather was so cautious, he nodded obediently and stopped asking.
Looking disgustedly at Greg's leather jacket, Mason scolded, "Change your clothes and don't wear that fancy thing again. Wear a suit or casual clothes instead."
Greg looked down at his clothes and reasoned, “But this is already..."
He wanted to say his clothes were already casual, but Mason's glare stifled his last words.
