Chapter: 1610
After a moment, Rachel broke the silence.
"Seems like I was right.
But why did you call to question me? You hate being cheated the most, right? Then you should have me taken to Sullivan Group and locked up there, just like how you dealt with Wallace."
Narrowing his eyes and pressing his lips together, Odin still didn't say anything.
“Let me guess." Rachel stood up from the bed, strode to the balcony, and looked out the window.
“Although you're suspicious of me, you think I didn't do it because you know it wouldn't do me any good if
I did, right?"
"You're clever," Odin finally responded.
"Well, I've dealt with quite a lot of clever people in my life,"
Rachel said nonchalantly.
“If I tampered with Alberto's schedule, you would know about it as soon as he arrived in Apliaria. So, why would
I do it? If I wanted to win your trust, I wouldn't give you the wrong schedule. Besides, I don't have any contact with Alberto. It's much better for me to win your trust by giving you the real schedule than putting myself in danger by betraying you. While you're suspicious of me, you don't really have any concrete evidence to prove it. Besides, you also think I wouldn't do such a silly thing to put myself at risk. Am I right?"
Odin didn't answer and just drank up the wine from the glass in his hand, the smoothness of the liquor immediately pervading his mouth.
Leaning against the railing of the balcony, Rachel waited for his response.
After a moment, Odin's voice came on the other end of the line.
"You and Wallace used to be in a relationship?"
Odin's sudden question caught Rachel off guard, but she immediately regained composure.
Shelia's relationship with Wallace before was known to everyone in the Red Hackers. Since Odin knew her real name, it wasn't surprising that he would know about the relationship, considering his capabilities.
What surprised her was that Odin investigated even that part.
"Yes."
"What's good about him?" Odin asked.
What was good about him?
It was a good question. Rachel closed her eyes and considered it carefully, but she couldn't come up with anything because she had never loved Wallace. At the time, she thought they were compatible and were old enough to marry, so she settled with him.
“He's average looking and has ordinary abilities," Odin said when
Rachel didn't answer.
