Chapter: 1623
Rachel furrowed her brows.

“To where?"

"An auction."

The weather was colder as the end of the year neared. It was drizzling outside, and the wind blowing through the car window was chilly against the skin.

It hadn't rained when Rachel arrived at Sullivan Group, but it started pouring as she followed Odin to his car.

"Close the windows," Odin told the driver.

“I'm sorry, Mr. Sullivan. It slipped my mind. I'm closing them now."

The driver pressed a button, and the tinted windows started to roll up.

The inside of the car suddenly dimmed as all the windows closed.

Rachel, who was looking out of the window, had to withdraw her sight.

Suddenly, she felt something warm against her legs. To her surprise,

Odin casually placed a thin blanket on her lap.

"You'll catch a cold if we kept the windows open," Odin said, withdrawing his hand.

Rachel was surprised and confused by his action. She removed the blanket and said, "Thank you for your concern, Mr. Sullivan, but I'm fine."

"You hate me that much?" Odin narrowed his eyes, seemingly displeased that she disregarded the blanket.

"I don't understand what you mean."

"You came today to turn down my offer, didn't you?" Odin regarded her pointedly.

"But why? Well, I'm the head of Sullivan Group now.

I'm rich and powerful. Many women are vying for my attention and hoping to marry me. But here you are, straight-out refusing me. For what reason? I can give you money or whatever you want. Just tell me

Rachel's expression hardened, realizing the reason behind Odin's outburst. It was his ego calling foul.

Even before, Odin already had numerous young women from wealthy families lining up to catch his attention. After becoming the head of

Sullivan Group, the number of his admirers doubled. Unlike those ladies, Rachel showed no interest in him. She was even reluctant to accept his proposal the moment he offered it.

That alone was a heavy blow to Odin's ego.

"Mr. Sullivan—"

"I don't like you calling me that." Odin looked utterly disgruntled.
