Chapter: 1645
Though not implicit, Rachel was basically telling Libby to get out of her way.

"Oh, sorry," Libby muttered, unconsciously stepping aside to make way for her.

Rachel accepted her apology with a nod and walked out of the lady's room.

After that encounter, Rachel found Libby quite dislikeable.

The Bennet family was in the upper-crust circle of Apliaria, and rumors were aplenty among them. Though Rachel disliked gossiping, she couldn't completely escape it, so she knew a rumor or two. One rumor she had heard recently was about Libby, who most people claimed to be as charming as Elisa Bennet and Clara Jimenez.

In a way, the rumor implied that Libby was way better than the two prominent female figures of the Bennet and Jimenez families.

Although it involved Elisa, Rachel didn't think much about the rumor when she first heard about it. She hadn't gotten in touch with Elisa before, so she found herself a little detached from the topic whenever other people mentioned Elisa and asked her opinion about Libby snatching the title of the first socialite in town.

Now that Rachel had met Libby, her reaction to the rumor had changed.

Contrary to what the public believed, Rachel didn't think Libby deserved to have the title.

Of course, Libby had beauty and fortune, but she still had a long way to go to get to Elisa's and Clara's level. Besides, having a kind countenance didn't automatically mean the person was inherently kind.

Anyway, Rachel didn't want to dwell on the matter anymore. Besides, she didn't think she would see Libby again, so she left the lady's room, shoving the thought out of her mind.

The auction was still ongoing when Rachel returned to the main hall.

From her estimation, the auction wouldn't come to a close until about thirty minutes later.

Having nothing else to do, Rachel rode the elevator to the garden on the hotel's rooftop. The garden was deserted when she arrived. The silence was majestic, as well as the faint fragrance of flowers and brisk winter breeze.

Rachel spotted a bench in a corner and walked over. She sat down and closed her eyes to enjoy the moment of peace in such a lovely place.

However, the moment of peace didn't last long. The silence was broken by a man's voice from a distance.

"The doctor said you shouldn't be staying outside for long, sir. It's winter season in Apliaria right now. The cold might affect your health."

Rachel opened her eyes and searched for the source of the voice. It was from a man in a suit, slowly pushing a person in a wheelchair toward her direction.

After a careful look, she recognized the man in the wheelchair as Alberto Gibson. The man in a suit must be his assistant.

Surprise, Rachel immediately stood up to leave.

However, Alberto coughed a few times, causing Rachel to freeze on the spot.

The assistant looked worriedly. He was about to convince Alberto again when he caught a glimpse of Rachel on the bench. His eyes squinted at her.

"You're Mr. Sullivan's date, right?"

Rachel stiffened and got internally upset, not because she got noticed but because of her strange reaction.

She didn't know why the moment she saw Alberto, her first reaction was to stand up and flee the scene as if she were afraid to be seen by him.

Alberto had no idea who she was. Moreover, she was clearly unrecognizable because of her disguise. Obviously, there was no need for her to hide, but she still panicked.

"Yes." Rachel glanced at Alberto and greeted him.

"Mr. Gibson."

Alberto raised his head, and his deep-set eyes immediately found hers as he said, "We meet again, Miss Bennet."
