Chapter: 1654
With so many people present in the Gibson family's house, there must be at least a dozen chefs here, right?

Which one of them was not as good as her?

"I'm not an expert in cooking." She wasn't entirely reluctant but deemed it necessary to set his expectations right.

"I can't guarantee gourmet flavors.”

"That's alright," Alberto responded calmly.

"I understand. You can use whatever ingredients you find in the kitchen. You don't need to prepare elaborate dishes. Simple homemade cooking will suffice."

“Mr. Gibson..

“Ahem... Ahem..." Rachel's protest was interrupted by a fit of coughs.

Looking at his pale face, Rachel's brows furrowed in concern, and she asked, “Are you alright?"

Setting his hand aside, Alberto maneuvered the wheelchair, facing away from Rachel. His voice came out hoarsely as he uttered, “I'm alright."

“But you don't look well."

Alberto remained silent.

Taking his silence as affirmation, Rachel decided to stop her questions.

"Then, I'll proceed to the kitchen to prepare the meal."

Not until she ascended to the second floor did she fully comprehend the floor's arrangement.

Two kitchens were in place, one in conjunction with the dining area and another isolated. The former was typically utilized for whipping up western cuisines, while the latter catered to other culinary varieties. A pantry room stocked a diverse range of food supplies.

Rachel scanned her surroundings and noticed that all the food ingredients were fresh. It seemed they had been delivered earlier that morning.

Facing the stocked shelves, she opted for two simple ingredients: tomatoes and eggs. Her knowledge of home cooking was elementary, at best. The only dish she could confidently pull off was noodles with tomatoes and eggs.

Furthermore, since Rachel was unsure of Alberto's taste preferences, she opted for the simplest recipe she could think of.

As she grabbed the ingredients to start cooking, her stomach growled loudly, reminding her that she was hungry.

Since her return from the auction, she hadn't eaten anything. The visit to Sullivan Group and the subsequent auction had significantly drained her.

Looking at the ingredients in her hand, she decided to fetch more.

After all, it seemed like a good idea to cook a portion for herself at the same time.

Rinsing, chopping, sauce preparation, frying, noodle boiling...
