Chapter: 1680
Hearing Lila's call, Rachel hurriedly sat up. The sudden movement made her momentarily dizzy.

Pressing her temples, she responded, "I'll be there in a minute."

"Okay, Miss Bennet," Lila answered politely before returning downstairs.

Sitting on the bed, Rachel knew she was coming down with a fever.

Her head was foggy and her nose stuffy. As she lifted the blanket, a loud sneeze escaped her nose.

The sneeze made her head spin again. She pressed her temples and waited for the dizziness to subside before climbing out of the bed.

Enduring her foggy head, Rachel washed her face and changed her clothes. After that, she went downstairs and found Lila busy in the kitchen. She pivoted to the Living room to see who the visitor was.

The person sitting on the couch immediately stood up upon seeing her.

"Good morning, Miss Bennet."

Rachel just looked at him for a moment. It was probably because of the fogginess of her head that she didn't immediately recognize the man before her.

"Morning. You're Alberto's assistant, right?"

"Yes, Miss Bennet."

Before leaving her bedroom, she had wondered who had come to see her so early in the morning. She had thought of a few people, but they didn't include Alberto's assistant, thus her surprise. As she thought about his purpose of coming, she suddenly realized it must have to do with what Odin had told her earlier.

“Did Mr. Gibson ask for me?" Rachel asked, triggering a faint cough.

“Yes. He asked me to help you pack your things and drive you to his place."

After leaving Sullivan Group yesterday, Rachel already expected that she would have to work for Alberto. But she was confused when the assistant mentioned assisting her with packing her things.

"Pack my things?"

"Yes."

Rachel's brows creased. The ride to the Gibson Mansion would only take one and a half hours, so it didn't make sense to her why she should pack her things.

After a few seconds, realization finally kicked in. The assistant probably meant her Laptop and documents for work.

"Okay," Rachel said.

"Thank you, but I can pack them myself. You can wait here."

"Uh. Alright."

At this moment, Rachel coughed again.
