Chapter: 1852
"No, it's just that I was thinking about my son last night," Rachel murmured, her gaze dropping to her coffee.

Alberto's expression turned somber, but his voice remained steady.

"Do you miss him a lot? Why not bring him along?"

“It's complicated," Rachel replied simply.

“Well, we should get going then." Alberto nodded, wiping his mouth with a napkin.

Rachel finished her breakfast, got up, and began pushing Alberto's wheelchair.

The morning air was brisk, almost biting.

Arriving at the meeting, they found the project team already assembled in the meeting room. Karen's voice, thick with suspicion towards Klein, could be heard even before they opened the door.

“Mr. Gibson's here," Shayla whispered, tugging at Karen's sleeve.

Karen quickly turned and sat down.

“Mr. Gibson," Ethan greeted him first, prompting the others to stand and welcome him.

Alberto gave a nod and instructed, "Please, take a seat."

They exchanged glances before settling down, each lost in their thoughts. Rachel chose a spot to the left of Alberto. As soon as everyone was seated, Dewey laid out the prepared materials in front of them.

Rachel's gaze fell on a poster on the document's front page.

"You must be familiar with this poster," Alberto remarked, his eyes coolly sweeping over the group in the meeting room.

The poster was a recent release from Sullivan Group, showcasing a medical project. Its logo clearly indicated the project's medical nature.

“Our project's initial data greatly overlaps with what Sullivan Group has just made public. I've had our technology department recheck everything," Alberto said, his tone steady but carrying an underlying urgency. “What do you want to say about this? Tell me."

Karen had been waiting for this moment.

Standing up, she eagerly addressed Alberto, “Mr. Gibson, Klein was primarily in charge of the part of the data in question."

Alberto's eyebrows rose slightly as he turned his attention to Klein.

Encouraged by Alberto's silence, Karen pressed on, "I suspect Klein leaked our data. Only those handling it could have. Sullivan Group's announcement mirrors exactly what Klein was working on. It points to him being the informant."

Alberto then looked towards Dewey on his right.

Catching his boss's cue, Dewey promptly switched on the laptop, displaying a set of data on the meeting room's screen. The data scrolled fast, comparing Sullivan Group's information with Klein's.

Significant portions, highlighted in red, matched perfectly.
