Chapter: 1854
Barnett hid his face, surprised at Karen's lack of sensitivity.

In a soft voice, Shayla explained, "Karen, Klein wasn't implying he doubts Mr. Gibson. How could he suspect Mr. Gibson? He's thinking of someone else."

“Someone else..." Karen gazed blankly at Rachel. "You mean Rachel?"

Rachel glanced around, noticing all eyes on her.

"Rachel, do you have anything to add?" Klein looked at her with suspicion.

"Klein, you shouldn't accuse people without proof!" Karen interrupted before Rachel could speak, her glare fixed on Klein. "You're accusing Rachel. Where's your proof? What would be her motive? You're just upset that she took the role that you wanted, so now you're trying to ruin her reputation."

“That's enough!" Alberto said calmly, yet his voice was enough to halt the quarrel between Karen and Klein.

Alberto glanced at Dewey, who stood up to speak. “This issue..."

But before he could say more, Rachel stood up too, admitting, “Klein's suspicion makes sense. I am also a suspect."

A sudden quietness filled the room.

Rachel, having prepared earlier, clicked on her tablet and passed it to Alberto. "Mr. Gibson, I wanted to share something with you this morning, but just didn't get the chance until now."

Alberto briefly looked at the tablet before handing it over to Dewey.

When Dewey displayed the tablet's contents for everyone to see, they were greeted with a barrage of error codes and messages scrolling across the screen.

Ethan's brow creased in concern. "Is this a virus?"

"Yes," Rachel confirmed. “I stumbled upon it in an obscure folder on my E drive last night. It's small and easily overlooked during a virus scan, but it's incredibly stealthy."

"So, you're saying this virus is why our data Leaked?" Klein asked with a hint of sarcasm.

Rachel didn't answer him. Instead, she looked at Dewey and requested, "Dewey, could you pass the tablet back to me, please?”

Dewey nodded and returned it to her.

Rachel tapped a few buttons on her tablet, and suddenly, the chaotic codes calmed down. The error messages vanished as if the virus had never existed.

“What's happening? Is it gone?" Karen asked, her voice filled with confusion. She had been analyzing the code structure, having encountered numerous viruses before. Yet, this was the first time she'd come across such an aggressive one. She planned to decipher its pattern, but it seemed to have disappeared abruptly.

Then, a beep broke the silence.

It came from Rachel's phone, lying on the desk. The beep wasn't loud, yet it echoed distinctly in the still meeting room.

Rachel picked up her phone and handed it to Dewey, who quickly got the message and displayed its contents on the screen.

To everyone's amazement, the tablet's data had transferred to Rachel's phone in under a minute, complete with a generated Link.
