Chapter: 1961
“Currently, Sullivan Group is going through tough times. Our cash flow is barely enough to keep us afloat. If you all choose to divest now, Sullivan Group will face even harder times. In light of this, I instructed the finance team to review the failed investments from the last two years. Guess what I discovered."
Mr. Torres held the lawyer's letter tightly, silent. Odin's voice filled the room again. "These botched investments all trace back to you, and interestingly, your family members were involved. Do you think it's fair for me to suspect that you've all been playing fast and loose with your roles, maybe even siphoning assets from Sullivan Group?"
Odin's accusation left every shareholder looking ghostly.
“However, since you've been through thick and thin with my grandfather to build this empire, I'll hold off on dragging you to court. But given Sullivan Group's tight spot, I'm left with no choice but to ask you to return those funds."
Odin was clear: if the shareholders withdrew their investments, he wouldn't just take back the cash; he might also consider charging them with theft, depending on how he felt. On the flip side, if they kept their investments, all would be well.
