Rachel launched the navigation app and set the destination to the Garden Hotel. Soon, the map displayed the shortest route, albeit still taking around forty minutes to reach.

Glancing at her shoes, Rachel felt fortunate that she hadn't opted for high heels.

“Alberto.” Rachel memorized the route and, to conserve the spare phone's battery, turned off the screen. She then turned to the opposite direction before facing Alberto once more. “This way," she said, leading the way toward their destination.
