After bidding Averie farewell, Rachel walked away. Watching her, Averie paused and the man standing guard next to her asked with concern, “Miss Ortiz, are you all right? Should I take you to the hospital?"

“No, thanks." Averie looked at Rachel's departing figure, her eyes growing darker. “Inform MT Company that today's meeting is postponed. I'm going to rest at home and won't return this afternoon."

Having said that, Averie pulled out her phone and made a call. She then hurried to the elevator, rode it down to the underground parking lot, and drove off.

Rachel felt much better after she managed to unsettle Averie.

She went to a convenience store near the hotel and picked up two cups of instant noodles. As she approached the hotel entrance, she noticed a Porsche Cayenne parked at the base of the stairs. Alberto's assistant emerged from the vehicle clutching a bag of medicine.
