"Mountain?" Alberto raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah, while climbing..." Rachel trailed off, her voice hushed.

His eyes drifted to her calf and a shadow crossed his face. After a long pause, he asked, “Did it hurt when you fell?"

"It did. So much so that I almost cried," Rachel admitted.

She chuckled lightly. “But I toughed it out. I did mot cry and just limped down the mountain. I ended up bedridden for three months though."
