She glanced at Averie, then at the bowl in her hand. Her decision was made, yet her determination wavered. Suddenly, she stood up and poured out all the porridge from her bowl.

Seeing this, Averie grew anxious and asked in confusion, "Don't do that. Why did you do that? Mom, I want to eat it. I want to grow taller.. Her mother discarded the bowl and spoon into the trash can. Noticing Averie's anxiety, she walked over and gently stroked her head, soothing her with, “Sweetie, there was a bug in that bowl of porridge. We won't eat it. I'll cook another bowl for you, okay?"

Averie nodded, reassured by her mother's explanation.

An hour later, fresh porridge was served on the table. Fed by her mother, Averie finished a bowl and was full. As she got out of the chair, her gaze drifted to the bowl of porridge in the trash can.
