Cathy checked her watch and said, "It's getting late. I should be going."

Sebastian, maintaining a polite facade, asked, “Why don't you stay for dinner?"

"No, we already ate," Cathy replied, waving him off.

She added, "I heard you got a job delivering stuff. Averie mentioned you usually work nights and get back early in the morning, so you two don't see each other much. Since you're together now, I don't want to interrupt."
