She silently wished she could cover Alberto's mouth and beg him to stop talking.

She noticed the breakfast on the bedside table. It was a bowl of noodles topped with a fried egg.

Rachel was slightly taken aback. She glanced at the bowl and then at Alberto. "Did you make these noodles?"

"Yes," Alberto replied softly, his tone uncharacteristically gentle.

"You were exhausted last night, and the drug had strong side effects. It's not good for your health. You should eat something light. So, I borrowed the kitchen downstairs to make you these noodles. Try them and see if they're to your liking.”
