Silence stretched as Rachel waited for Kathryn to continue.

"In the dream, she wouldn't answer me no matter how much I called her."

Kathryn bit her lip. "Do you think she blames me? For leaving her alone?"

Rachel realized Kathryn needed help.

But before Rachel could respond, Kathryn chuckled. "I know, Mom wouldn't blame me. She hid her medication so I wouldn't fret. How could she blame me for not being there? She must have been in agony, going it alone. Miss Davis, I should see a therapist, huh?"
