Outside, a Maybach awaited him. The assistant, seated in the passenger side, stepped out and opened the rear door as Alberto exited the building. "Mr. Gibson," he greeted.

Alberto gave a slight nod, ducked into the back seat, and said crisply, "Go to the hospital we visited last time."

In the vice director's office at the hospital, Humphrey sipped his coffee and glanced at the electronic clock-it was nearly time for their appointment.
