“I managed to avoid any trouble. Don't worry about it," Rachel reassured him, her spirits lifted by his evident concern. She smiled warmly at him.

"Next time something like that happens, call me over," Alberto instructed in a firm tone, maintaining eye contact until she nodded in agreement.

As they conversed, the warm glow from the banquet hall's chandeliers dimmed, plunging the room into near darkness except for two spotlights-one on the host's podium and another on the display stage.
