"Ms. Sampson, the onboarding process is complete. Welcome to Gibson Group," the personnel department staff member announced, extending a stack of documents and an ID badge towards Queenie. "You'll want to head up to the secretarial department next. They're expecting you. Someone will be there to guide you through your tasks."

Accepting the documents, Queenie clipped the badge around her neck and offered a gracious smile. "Thank you."

She then made her way towards the elevator, joining a small group of employees already waiting there.

Queenie pressed the call button and stood back as the doors slid open revealing a tall man inside.

Caught off guard by the sight of the man in the elevator, Queenie was momentarily frozen. Just as she was about to step inside, a female employee next to her reached out and tugged at her arm sharply.
