Quintin looked at her, slightly taken aback. “Oh? How did that go?"

Rachel pursed her lips, taking a moment before responding in a measured tone, “I didn't see Gracelynn, but I spoke with Kalyn."

As Rachel thought about what Kalyn had said, her hand tightened and then relaxed repeatedly. She felt she had an inkling of the truth, yet certainty eluded her. “Something about the clinic seems off. Keep digging and see what you uncover."
