Bart switched off his phone and met her gaze, a slight smile playing on his Lips. “You're awake," he stated flatly, ignoring her questions.

He walked towards her slowly and inquired, “How are you feeling? Any discomfort?"

Rachel tensed and instinctively stepped back. “Stay away from me," she snapped, the dim light casting ominous shadows that made Bart seem particularly menacing.

Despite his expression darkening, Bart halted a few meters away, his smile returning. "Don't be afraid, Rachel. I won't harm you."
