"Why do you ask?" Alberto asked, and silence followed on the other end.

Alberto's eyes narrowed.

After a moment, Allen's voice returned. "Bart is missing. Someone rescued him from the mental hospital. He had gone mad over Shelia before. I'm not sure if he's behind this, but your recent high profile has made you a target. Alberto, I know you're powerful, but sometimes family interests must come first."

Allen's words were grave, possibly a warning to Alberto.

With a frown, Alberto glanced at Rachel. As the call was on speaker, she must have heard everything.
