Just as she managed a few steps, a knock echoed at the door, accompanied by Moran's urgent voice. “Ainsley, are you alright? Can you hear me? Open the door!"

Taken aback, Ainsley glanced towards the door, puzzled as to why Moran was concerned about her at such a late hour.

His anxious tone prompted her to swing the door open.

There he stood, framed in the doorway, worry etched across his face as he scanned her from head to toe. Only upon confirming she was unharmed did he allow himself a small sigh of relief.
