Chapter: 738
Seeing this, Rachel breathed a sigh of relief. Then, she realized she had given herself away to warn him.

Instead of looking at the man on the floor, Victor turned to face her and took small steps towards her despite the pain. Rachel froze where she stood.

She pressed her lips together and tried to think of a plan. Suddenly, she said in a modulated voice, "Mr. Sullivan, don't move. You're bleeding..."

"Who the hell are you?" He examined her carefully as he strode towards her direction.

Rachel swallowed nervously.

"Mr. Sullivan, I don't understand what you mean. I believe I already told you who I am. I'm Dr. Turner's assistant."

"Is that so?" Victor's gaze on her seemed stifling as if he had already seen right through her.

Rachel's lips were quivering as she looked up at him.

"Does Dr. Turner know that his assistant doesn't even know how to properly bandage a wound?" Victor asked in a deep voice. His heart was pounding hard because he had a vague guess already. He had been thinking of this possibility all these years.

He couldn't help but feel nervous as he approached her.

Rachel gulped, a look of astonishment flashing before her eyes.

“Who in the world are you?" Victor pressed.

Rachel stepped back.

“Is that you, Rachel?" Rachel asked.

Beads of sweat formed on Rachel's forehead as she stood under

Victor's intense gaze. She was so nervous that she couldn't help but purse her lips.

A sense of excitement rose in Victor's chest, but he tried his best to suppress the urge to take off her mask.

He was scared.

As Victor admitted this to himself, he clenched his fists imperceptibly. He was afraid to face the possibility that his mind must only be playing tricks on him. What if he took off the woman's mask and saw that she was not Rachel? How could he take the disappointment if that was the case?

"Answer my question!" When Victor took a step forward, Rachel retreated. No words came out from her mouth.

Soon, Rachel felt her back touch the wall. She was trapped now.

Victor was drawn into her familiar eyes. He couldn't be mistaken; they belonged to the woman he loved. Finally, he raised his hand to take off the mask covering the woman's face.

But Rachel quickly looked sideways, dodging his hand. What she did only added to Victor's suspicion. His cold fingertips landed on the mask.

One move and the mask would fall off.

‘What am I going to do?' Rachel clenched her fists and held her breath as she thought of a way to escape.
