Chapter: 755
Sullivan's arm."
Susan signed the form and took the bag. She found the bag heavy, and her nostrils filled with the smell of blood.
Susan didn't know whether she imagined things or whether there was blood on the bullet. Her face turned pale.
The nurse checked Susan's signature and said, "Mr. Sullivan has been transferred to the VIP ward, but he hasn't regained consciousness yet.
He needs to rest well. Only one of you can accompany him in the ward.
Which one of you will that be?"
The nurse glanced at the three people standing in the corridor.
Susan suppressed the discomfort because of the smell of blood and said, "I'm his fiancee. I'll go."
And then she looked at Rachel, expecting her to argue.
However, Susan was surprised. Rachel's facial expressions didn't reveal anything. She seemed to be indifferent. This was not what
Susan had expected. She suddenly felt a bit depressed.
Susan clenched her fists. She turned to the nurse and said, “Could you please show me the way?"
The nurse nodded.
"Please follow me." She turned around and started walking, leaving Susan to follow behind her.
Ivan frowned. From the time Susan said that she was Victor's fiancee till the time she went with the nurse, he frowned heavily. He wanted to say something, but he held his tongue when he realized that Susan wasn't wrong.
Rachel noticed how Susan looked at her from time to time. After all, it was hard to ignore. There were only three of them standing in the hospital corridor.
Now that Susan had left, Rachel stood up straighter. She turned around to go, but Ivan stopped her.
"Miss Bennet, where are you going?" His voice was deep.
"Anywhere, but here," Rachel said. She couldn't help yawning.
She hated hospitals. She hated it four years ago and still did today.
Ivan grew alert.
"Where are you going? Miss Bennet, Mr. Sullivan would like to see you as soon as he wakes up, so."
“Well, he hasn't woken up yet," Rachel interrupted him.
“Didn't you hear? Susan is his fiancee. Why should I be here when she is here?"
Ivan opened his mouth, but he was interrupted again.
