Chapter: 775
Shaking this memory off, Ivan looked at Andy and said, "I am here for Miss Bennet. Please let me in."
“Miss Bennet? What are you talking about?" Andy's initial reaction was to deny the truth.
“Don't waste my time. You can leave now. I am very busy."
With that, he turned around to walk away, not wanting to talk to
Ivan any longer.
"Mr. Torres, didn't Miss Bennet tell you that she has already met my boss?" Ivan's words stopped Andy.
Unable to believe what he had heard, Andy slowly turned around.
"If you don't believe me, you can ask Miss Bennet about what happened today." Knowing that Andy was probably thinking that it was just a bait, Ivan continued, "You are a smart man, Mr. Torres. You should know that I wouldn't be here if Miss Bennet and Mr. Sullivan didn't meet already."
Of course, Andy knew that. He wasn't stupid. But he only squinted at
Ivan and said nothing.
That was the time that Ivan figured that Andy finally believed him.
"Mr. Torres, please tell Miss Bennet that I'm here to see her."
“Miss Bennet is resting. She can't face you right now." Ivan refused with a cold face.
"Mr. Torres..."
“I've told you that Miss Bennet is resting. Before she went to bed, she told me not to disturb her no matter what. Ivan, leave for now.
I will let Miss Bennet know once she's awake."
"But Mr. Sullivan..."
Before Ivan could finish his words, Andy quickly interrupted him.
“I am just following Miss Bennet's orders. As for what Mr. Sullivan said, it has nothing to do with me. Besides, I don't like strangers coming here, so I won't let you in. Leave now and report to your boss. Tell him exactly I've said."
After saying this, Andy turned around to go back inside the house.
Ivan had witnessed the confrontation between Victor and Andy four years ago. He knew that no matter what he said, the guy wouldn't let him in. But he couldn't just give up. Determined to complete the task Victor gave to him, Ivan raised his head and said, "Then I'1L wait here and wait for Miss Bennet to wake up."
“Whatever you say." Without looking back, Andy passed the cobblestone path in the front yard and went back to the house.
It had been four years since Rachel last lay in her bed. She thought she would have a hard time sleeping, but surprisingly, she fell quickly fell asleep.
Perhaps it was because she was exhausted.
When she woke up, it was already dark.
