Chapter: 819
It surely bumped into a sharp corner when the director threw it out.
The center of the hard disk had sunk inside, and its protective shell had been broken as well, revealing the chip inside.
As Gatlin spoke, Joey took the disk and looked at it carefully. The chip was still complete.
"Well, maybe I'm really not fit for the lab like the director said.
Even this, I can't seem to do properly. I'm just rubbish. He was right." Gatlin degraded himself and smiled wryly.
"You sure have a clear estimation of yourself." Instead of comforting
Gatlin, Joey added to his pain with his words.
Gatlin just looked at the kid, not expecting that type of answer from him.
The fun fact was that Joey didn't even spare him a glance as he spoke. He was busy fiddling with the chip in the hard disk. He connected himself to a computer that was showing codes. Gatlin, who had been busy doubting himself suddenly realized that the voice he had been hearing was strange. When he turned around and saw that the voice belonged to Joey, his eyes went wide in astonishment.
"Kid? What are you still doing here? I thought I gave you my work card to use and go out?"
"You did. Here it is." Joey reached out his hand and gave the card back to Gatlin.
But Gatlin didn't take the card immediately. He stared at it in a daze, then asked, “Don't you remember the way out? Right! You should be only four or five years old. It's only normal that you forget your way back. I don't know why I didn't think of that. Okay, I'l take you out now. Come on, let's go."
Gatlin hung up the work card, then moved ahead to take Joey out.
“We have to hurry up. If the director comes out later and sees you here, there's no doubt he'll scold you," Gatlin murmured as he moved ahead.
After taking two steps, he still didn't hear any reply from Joey. He turned around to find that Joey was still in the same position and hadn't followed him.
"Kid?"
“Done! You can import data now," Joey said.
“Come and try it out.
The chip is a little damaged, but I have modified its program. It should be able to work for about half an hour. That should be enough for you to import the data I think."
“What?"
“Why are you still standing there? Do you want me to help you with the data export or not? Don't tell me that you don't know how to export data. It's such an easy task," Joey frowned and said in disgust.
"I know, of course I know," Gatlin said hurriedly.
"But..."
“But what?" Joey interrupted him.
“Hurry up and don't waste time.
