Chapter: 843
Victor's eyes darkened as he looked at Joey. Although they lived together these days, Victor wasn't familiar with Joey. He guessed that Joey was cold and unapproachable in front of him. And Joey had never been interested in Susan before, then how could he be in just a few days?
"Do you really wish to see her?" Victor looked down at his glass and took a sip of water to moisten his throat. His voice was a bit gruff and low when he said, "I thought you didn't like her very much."
‘Was I so obvious?' Joey thought. He ignored Victor's question and asked, "Mr. Sullivan, don't you like her? You'll marry her and have babies in the future."
Joey thought about Victor's marriage and future babies and felt wronged. Although he didn't realize it, his tone was filled with jealousy.
“Who told you this?" Victor frowned unhappily.
"No one. But everyone knows that you're going to get married to that pretty lady. I remember the first time I met her at the airport. The people around her were talking and asking about it. Once you get married, you will have babies, right?" Joey curled his lips.
“Also,
I know you will send me away when you have a baby. Everyone says that you hate my father a lot. You won't want me to stay here."
As Victor heard this, his face grew black as thunder.
However, Joey was oblivious to this. He supported his chin with one hand and sighed. Joey continued, "In fact, it doesn't matter if you send me away.. Can I ask you something?"
"What is it?"
“If you send me away, can I choose the place?" Joey asked seriously as he looked at Victor.
Victor also looked at Joey, and every word seemed to touch his heart.
Joey's eyes were similar to the ones in his memory. Victor couldn't help thinking about what Rachel had told him yesterday.
He couldn't explain the pain that he felt in his heart.
Victor calmed himself and kept the glass of water aside. Suddenly, he realized something from what Joey said. He asked, “You said they all said that.. Who are they? Did someone say anything while you stayed in Sue Garden?" His tone showed that he wasn't asking but stating a fact.
Joey pursed his lips, and his expression turned serious. In the past two days, he had heard a lot. Suddenly, Odin's child appeared. The servants were very serious and extra cautious. They never discussed the Sullivan Group or the Sue Garden matters openly, but they would do it in private.
Of course, they wouldn't even tell Joey about the hatred between
Victor and Odin.
Also, Joey would never eavesdrop.
It was just when Joey went downstairs to drink water, the servants were too absorbed in their gossip, and he happened to hear everything by accident.
“Well, it's just an example." Joey did not intend to complain, so he did not pursue the topic anymore. He decided to divert the subject.
Victor looked at Joey firmly as if he had seen through him. After a short silence, he said in a low voice, "I won't marry her, nor do I intend to have a child with her..."
With his eyes lowered, Joey just kept playing with the pillow from time to time. But when he heard what Victor said, he paused and raised his head.
"What?"
