"Do you have another choice right now?" Elena asked, her face calm and unreadable.

Evelyn knew she had no other option. Her hands balled into fists, and she glared at Elena with resentment. "Are you really going to alter Fannie's design?"

Fannie was a famous fashion designer, known all over the world. How could Elena even think about changing something Fannie made? If the dress were ruined, it would mean damaging a piece of art.

Evelyn pressed on. "This dress is covered in paint and can't be worn like this. But after the wedding, we could take it back to Klathe and get the stains cleaned so it will look perfect again. However, if you cut and alter it, this perfect creation will be ruined.. Elena, are you sure you want to do this? If Fannie asks about it, who will take responsibility?" Elena didn't pause for even a moment. "I'll take full responsibility," she said confidently.
