Chapter: 1112
Norah paused mid-action while pulling the door. Given Marlin's early morning visit, she inferred that he must have something significant to talk with her.

“I took the day off today. If there's something you need to discuss, please proceed. I'm in a rush." Norah responded.

"You took the day off? Where are you headed? I'll provide transportation."

Marlin promptly complied with her request, observing the impatience on her face, causing him to purse his lips.

"I'll take you there. We can converse during the drive."

Norah glanced at the driver occupying the driver's seat, prompting Marlin to understand her unspoken message.

"You can step out. I'll drive myself."

Marlin dismissed the driver, assumed the driver's seat, and raised an eyebrow at Norah.

"Take a seat in the car."

Norah gazed at him briefly before settling into the passenger seat.

“I've sent the location to your phone. Let's depart."

After buckling her seatbelt, she turned her head.

Marlin entered the address and discovered that Norah's destination was close to where he intended to take her. Had she already discovered it? Marlin pondered.

After a brief silence, Marlin started the car.

"I was about to say that. My contacts observed Justin lurking around this address, possibly waiting for someone."

Marlin pulled a note from beside the driver's seat and handed it to Norah.

“This is right next to the address you gave me. We'll head there now."

Norah unfolded the note. It was indeed close.

During this time, Marlin had kept her business concerns in mind, while Sean, he hadn't spoken to her for over a month.

There was a saying online that if couples didn't speak for three days, they were considered broken up. Norah thought she should let go and stop obsessing over Sean, but found it difficult.

She resolved to confront Sean directly and clarify the status of their relationship.

Could she no longer trust a man's word?

Marlin drove in silence. The journey from Silverdale would take about four hours, heading towards a secluded area near the mountains.

Halfway, Marlin glanced over and noticed Norah dozing, her breathing slow and even.
