Chapter: 1119
Norah grabbed Marlin's hand and said, "Let's go."

While she ran, she remembered to throw explosive balls to stop them from chasing after her.

Marlin was puzzled as to why Norah chose to run. Wasn't Norah powerful? She had rescued him from kidnappers before. Couldn't she handle this situation too?

And he was ready to help her.

Their pursuers were relentless. Norah, teeth clenched, persisted in running alongside Marlin.

She could certainly fight them, but she noticed Hanley had a pistol.

Her only weapon was a dagger.

In their law-abiding society, carrying firearms was strictly prohibited. She couldn't possibly have brought a gun with her every day.

She could eliminate them alone, but not with Marlin around...

Spotting a cave concealed by bushes, she quickly pushed Marlin inside.

"Hide in here. I'll be right back."

Once free of her burden, Norah smiled. The forest seemed an ideal place to hide bodies.

When Marlin was thrown into the cave, his head collided with a rock.

He lost consciousness immediately.

At the Glamour Club.

"Jaxson, it's been ages. How long are you planning to stay?"

Wearing delicate makeup, Amabel smiled and talked to a man in an overly sweet voice.

The attractive man sitting on the couch responded with a smile, "I'll be around for a while."

His strong nose bridge and the amber eyes catching the room's colorful reflections highlighted his sharp features. A distinctive mole under his right eye lent a peculiar charm to his appearance.

Dressed in a white shirt, he sat with his long legs crossed on the small table, exuding an air of elegance and danger.

The private room was filled with young adults from wealthy families.

There were Bryson and Joanna from the Andrews family, Amabel, and Spencer from the Morris family, Kaiden from the Hayes family, and Brigid and Luka from the Alvarado family. Even Madeline was also there.

Joanna glanced at Madeline and asked arrogantly, “What are you doing here? You are not welcome here."

Madeline's eyes welled up. In a small voice, she said, "I haven't seen Jaxson in so long. I heard he was throwing a party, so I came to see him."
