Chapter: 1131
“What's going on?" Matteo wondered gravely.

Kayla's sneer was sharp as she spoke. "Find out from your precious son his intentions toward my daughter."

She comforted Nancy with a pat on her back and shot Sean furious glare. She couldn't believe she hadn't seen her son's predatory nature sooner, especially towards his sister.

Glancing mischievously at Sean, Jaxson noted the liveliness in his household.

Matteo kept a watchful eye on Nancy, nestled in his wife's arms, her tears a testament to her distress. She seemed so vulnerable, so small in that moment.

Turning his gaze towards Sean, Matteo asked firmly, "Sean, what on earth is happening here?"

Sean's response was nonchalant. “As I mentioned, she came to me willingly. When I declined her advances, she undressed herself and now put all the blame on me."

Sean had never held any fondness for Nancy, and now he saw why. Her true colors had come to light-how could anyone admire her when her intentions were so malicious?

"That's impossible. Nancy is just a lovely and pure young girl. You must be forcing on her!"

Kayla insisted. "Everyone remembers what you were like as a kid. The traits of childhood often persist into adulthood, and your authoritarian tendencies are deeply rooted.”

Sean paused his actions, his expression hardened.

“What exactly did I do as a child? Authoritarian? Is that how you perceive me, Mom?"

A chill flickered in Sean's eyes, accompanied by a cold aura that filled the room.

For a moment, Kayla was frightened. Then she burst out, "Am I wrong?

Nancy is a lovely yet pitiful girl, but you forced her to entertain you. How can you be so cruel? Have you ever considered Norah Wilson's feelings?"

Jaxson, who was just there to enjoy the drama, was taken aback.

Norah Wilson? Derek's former wife? That explained why nobody except Nancy talked to Madeline at the welcome party.

“Mom, I'm not feeling good."

Nancy's voice was as soft as a kitten's mew. It was barely audible but Kayla picked it up right away.

"You're not feeling well? What's wrong?" Kayla asked, concerned.

"Jasxon, could you please come and see what's wrong with Nancy?"

Jaxson, the only doctor there, found himself suddenly in demand.

No sooner had Nancy mentioned her distress than Kayla forgot all about scolding Sean. She focused solely on Nancy's well-being.

Sean gazed at Kayla with his eyes filled with disbelief. When had his mother changed so much? Why was the adopted daughter now more important than him and Susanna?
