Chapter: 1150
If Joanna continued this way, her body would collapse sooner or later.
"You have family and friends who are there for you. You should talk to them. Don't isolate yourself. Try to step out of that door.”
Joanna's guilt seemed to trap her, stopping her from living her life.
"Don't be afraid. Face your fears and overcome them."
Alice had studied psychology and it seemed to help Joanna. Joanna felt a lot better after talking with Alice.
Joanna let out a weary sigh. "I'll call Norah. She must be worried about me and Susanna."
They were slumped on a bench on the roadside.
“It's strange. Why am I not able to get through to Norah? Is she showering?"
Joanna mumbled to herself and called her again. However, Norah didn't answer the phone.
Alice trusted Norah with all her heart. She gently patted Joanna's shoulder and said, "She's probably busy. Let's go!"
Norah had been safe and sound even during a gunfire. Alice thought there was no need for Joanna to worry about Norah. Alice didn't want Joanna to worry too much.
After a moment's thought, Joanna agreed. She believed Norah was omnipotent and decided to call her after going home.
The next day, Joanna got up and worriedly descended the stairs.
ALL her family members were having breakfast at the table. Joanna seemed to have breakfast at the table for the first time after Madeline's miscarriage. Everyone was astonished to see her. They wondered if she had thought everything through and gotten better.
Alice had told Bryson she wanted to take Joanna out, and the latter seemed much better now. Bryson felt Alice was indeed capable and smart.
The servants brought breakfast to the table. Joanna took a sip of milk, and the warmth emanating from her stomach made her sigh with contentment.
“Joanna, the weather is nice today. Do you want to go out for a walk with your brother?" Raina asked cautiously.
Just then, Joanna's phone rang. Her eyes widened in surprise before she threw it on the table, and her face darkened in an instant.
Bryson took the phone and glanced at the message.
“It's from the Carters."
He angrily pounded the table. "Joanna didn't do it but they are constantly blaming her. That's an insult to us."
Raina pulled at his arm, hinting at Joanna.
"They simply want to put the blame on someone. But they don't dare to offend the Scott family, so they have chosen Joanna as the scapegoat. They believe we can easily manipulate us."
However, the Andrews family wouldn't allow others to hurt Joanna.
