Chapter: 1288
Kason let out a bitter laugh, his smile tinged with a sense of loneliness.
He had anticipated this day, but its swift arrival still left him heartbroken.
The Nora who once clung to him, who once leaned on him, was no longer his.
Kason stood up, his mind clouded, and noticed Kaiden standing not far away.
“Uncle Kason!"
Kaiden quickly strutted toward Kason and stood beside him.
As Kaiden arrived, he ran into Sean, who was heading out. They shared a quick, friendly greeting.
“Kaiden, what are you doing here?"
Kason reset his expression, seamlessly shifting back to his characteristic cold and ruthless demeanor, befitting the head of the Hayes family.
Kason stepped forward with purpose. "I have pressing matters to attend to and need to head out now. I'll talk to you later."
"Uncle Kason." Kaiden grabbed Kason's wrist, thwarting his move. "I know everything. I have some questions."
"I've got nothing to say."
Kason shrugged off Kaiden's hand and walked forward resolutely.
"Uncle Kason, you've kept Norah hidden for quite a while. Is there nothing you'd like to share with us about it?"
Today, Kaiden encountered Joanna and Susanna at Glamour Club, where they were arranging a reservation for a private room. They mentioned that a significant guest would be arriving later tonight.
After asking a few more questions, Kaiden learned that Sean had discovered Norah and that Kason had been hiding her in Silverdale for the past year.
When Kaiden first heard the news, it felt as though the sky was collapsing upon him, and the world was shifting beneath his feet.
Kaiden could hardly believe that stoic and ruthless Kason had been secretly hiding the amnesiac Norah for so long. If Sean hadn't uncovered the truth, would Kason have continued to hide Norah?
It seemed terrifying. A shiver ran down his spine as he thought about. Over the past year, Kason had frequently traveled to Silverdale. Everything seemed to fall into place now.
Kaiden couldn't believe or accept the reality.
Upon discovering that Kason had returned to Silverdale, he quickly set off in pursuit.
Kason's stride momentarily faltered before he resumed his purposeful walk.
“Kaiden, I did nothing wrong. Nora is in the hospital. I need to go see her."
Kaiden suddenly recalled that he had encountered Kason at the police station. Ignoring his previous questions, he quickly followed Kason, his mind focused solely on Norah's well-being.
