Chapter: 1303
Gilda patted her face, trying to contain her excitement. Norah's awakening meant she might reclaim the Wilson family's assets.
She still felt anger thinking about the assets taken by Norah's uncle a year ago. Norah's father had worked tirelessly to build his wealth, only for his brother's family to take it away.
And Norah had suffered immensely because of them.
“Elsa has arrived in Silverdale. Have you assigned someone to monitor her entourage?"
They had been notified the moment Elsa landed in Silverdale, determined to prevent her people from harming Norah.
“Don't worry. It's not just us; the Scott, Boyd, and Hayes families are also on watch."
"Alright. Let's prepare to welcome the Frazier family."
With that, they turned and left.
In the ward, Norah had managed to steady her emotions after a good cry.
She dabbed at her red, swollen eyes, opened them, and looked around at the faces gathered by her bed.
Sean, Susanna, Joanna, Bryson, Kason, Kaiden, Gil, Trudy, Marlin, and Yolande...
They were all her dear friends.
Norah's left hand was broken, and her legs were injured. However, the most critical injury was to her brain.
Joanna adjusted the bed slightly so Norah could speak more comfortably to everyone gathered around.
“Thank you for coming to see me... A lot has happened over the past year." Norah spoke with a calm demeanor. "I remember everything. Kason, thank you for rescuing me from under the cliff and for taking such good care of me."
She refrained from going into further details. The romantic feelings she had towards Kason when she lost her memory had vanished upon waking.
"I know who wants me gone. Thank you all for your support and sorry for the trouble I've caused."
She nodded gently, expressing her gratitude to everyone.
The scar on her face no longer drew attention; instead, it was her poise and self-assurance that captivated the room.
It was evident to everyone that Norah had indeed regained her memory.
Gil shook his head. "It's no trouble at all. We just want you to be safe."
Trudy chimed in, "We've been so worried, hardly eating or sleeping. How do you plan to make it up to us?"
Norah looked up, noticing the grey hairs that seemed to have multiplied, reflecting their stress.
Holding back tears, she promised, “I'll stay by your side from now on, okay?"
