Chapter: 1455
"Carrington, you know there's no need for such formalities. Just call me Nora."
Carrington was delighted. He knew exactly who she was-the renowned Supernatural Doctor.
He had pursued medicine in his middle years, but failed to cure his own illness, and his family abandoned him, sending his life into a spiral of despair.
Just as he was about to have a miserable death, Norah had come Like a savior and healed him of his illness.
Since that moment, his life had turned around. He opened a clinic and took on apprentices, all because of Norah.
He had committed long ago to follow her for the rest of his life.
Yet, his master rarely reached out, even though they both resided in Glophia. He hardly ever heard from her.
"Nora, it's been so long. Please, take a seat."
Carrington was visibly eager as he fussed over Norah. Bradshaw was sure it was the first time he had witnessed his mentor pay such close attention to anyone.
The group settled on the sofa, and Carrington looked at Susanna and Joanna. “Master, why did you bring them here?"
For treatment? Unlikely. His master's medical expertise was unmatched, making it unnecessary for him to intervene.
Susanna initially assumed Norah had brought them for treatment, but then it dawned on her-why would Norah need her apprentice's help with that? It seemed redundant.
A trace of amusement appeared in Norah's eyes. “Carrington, did you manage to gather all the herbs I requested?"
Carrington quickly replied, "The herbs you asked me to gather two years ago are all ready and stored in the warehouse."
“Let's go check on them."
Norah knew the place well. She had partially funded this clinic.
Rescuing Carrington was simply an act of kindness that also resulted in gaining an apprentice.
Occasionally, she performed her duties as a master by offering medical advice, but more often than not, she would vanish.
Bradshaw remained behind to watch the clinic while the others headed through a door to a room at the back of the clinic.
The herbs Norah needed were crucial for her medicine-making, especially for skincare products she had been planning for personal use.
Some essential herbs were rare and only found locally, making them extremely valuable.
"I've only managed to gather a few of these over the past two years. If you need more, I'll keep an eye out going forward," Carrington told Norah.
Norah examined each small bag filled with herbs. Carrington's ability to amass such a collection in two years spoke volumes about his commitment .
“Thank you. This is more than enough."
