Chapter: 1558
“Forget about them now. We need to move!"

They had just cleared the villa gates when a tremendous explosion obliterated the villa, sending a huge gray mushroom cloud skyward.

The shockwave knocked them to the ground. Once the ringing in their ears subsided, they slowly got to their feet.

Relieved to find each other safe, they shared a tight embrace.

Sean spoke, his voice still edged with fear. "Norah, thank you. We're lucky to be alive."

He had not detected the bomb's ticking. In such little time, he hadn't grasped that the villa was wired with explosives.

Had they not escaped when they did, they might not have survived.

Nancy's ruthless strategy spared no thought for her own people, all to ensure their elimination.

"Sean, Norah, are you both okay?" Kayla shouted as she staggered out barefoot.

She had just heard a deafening explosion while in the car, and stepping outside, she was greeted by the sight of a mushroom cloud, her face turning ashen with shock.

The villa had been destroyed. Where were her husband and son, who had gone inside the villa? And Norah had entered with them. Had they survived?

T and J steadied Kayla by the arms, their faces mirroring the shock, as they gazed at the demolished villa not far off. Could Sean and their fellows have survived such a blast?

Sean released Norah from his embrace, sat up, and blew his whistle.

The sharp sound echoed, and figures in black robes from the Sacredice began appearing around them.

Kelvin, dressed in black with his silver hair dusted in ash, descended from a tree. "Luckily, the boss gave us the heads-up, and we just barely avoided disaster."

He had planned to pursue the enemy into the mountains but decided against it when he heard the whistle. Fortunately, his quick decision -making averted what could have been a fatal delay.

Kelvin did a quick headcount of the Sacredice members and reported, “Mr. Scott, we're all accounted for, no casualties."

This was the strength of the Sacredice!

Despite the perilous circumstances, they managed to retreat without a single injury or loss.

Kayla, a bit unsteady, made her way to them and clung to Sean. “Sean, where's your father? Did he get out okay?"

She couldn't believe Matteo not rushing to rescue her, and she refused to accept that he wouldn't.

Sean's gaze sharpened. “Kelvin, where's my father?"

Kelvin chuckled, "Your father? Last I saw, he was heading towards the mountain behind the villa. That blast we heard before the main explosion might have been his doing."

Matteo, the former head of the Sacredice, was no stranger to danger.
