Chapter: 167
“We're friends. I believe addressing each other by our first names is more appropriate. Is there an issue with that?"
Sean had a sudden thought and promptly inquired, "Miss Wilson, considering our friendship and shared experiences, can we adopt a more casual form of address?"
Norah tilted her head and responded hastily, "Of course."
Norah immediately regretted her response. The idea of addressing him as Sean felt unfamiliar and strange after last night's incident.
Before she could retract her agreement, she heard him address her as Norah.
Blushing, Norah lowered her head and muttered, “I'm not accustomed to it yet."
It sounded close. After all, they hadn't addressed each other's first names before.
Glancing at Sean, Norah noticed a smile on his face as he gazed back at her.
"I believed we had a closer relationship than you and Mr. Hayes.”
His words left Norah speechless. How had their relationship become so close without her realizing it?
"I suppose so," Norah said. But Susanna would likely misinterpret the situation if she found out.
Norah added, “But I'm still not accustomed to it."
Sean asserted confidently, "You'll get used to it soon."
He added, “And feel free to call me Sean."
Norah bowed her head, murmuring softly, “Alright then. Sean." She couldn't understand why he had suddenly broached the topic. After all, they weren't that close, were they?
Sean smiled, satisfied with the outcome.
Suddenly, Norah remembered that Sean had a date with that beautiful woman before their dinner. Her racing heart gradually calmed down.
Norah averted her gaze and asked, “I accidentally saw someone inviting you out to dinner. Did you accept the invitation?"
Sean's smile faltered. A hint of impatience flickered in his eyes.
"She's not important."
If it wasn't important, why did he agree to have dinner with that woman? Norah doubted his statement.
"Really?" Norah gently inquired, “So you didn't dine with her?"
Sean patiently clarified, “I was about to cook for myself when you texted me."
“Ah, I understand." Contemplating the elegant and professional appearance of that beautiful woman, Norah's demeanor turned chilly as she hastily finished her meal. "I've finished. Sean, you're free to go now."
