Chapter: 234
"I told you he likes you, Norah. Sean likes you! I'm so happy. Reply to him and see what else he says," Susanna said happily.

"You don't have to come and pick me up. I won't be playing anymore.

I have to go now. Thanks. Save the ‘I like you' for someone you truly like," Norah said. She could barely conceal her excitement at Sean's messages, her hand trembling when holding her phone and her heart pounding. She knew Sean might just cooperate with her so that she didn't have to drink. Chances were that he didn't mean so when he said he liked her.

Then, Norah recalled the diamond brooch and pink crystal Sean had given her earlier today, which she had put in her safe. "Forget it.

I'll drink!" she said.

Norah then turned off her phone and put it in her bag. Ignoring Susanna's disappointed look, she downed three shots of alcohol in one go.

"Shall we continue?"

“Of course."

The game proceeded without much excitement. Norah's cheeks were soon flushed from drinking too much alcohol.

“Are you okay, Norah? Are you drunk?" Susanna asked nervously. She would have to call Sean to come pick Norah up if Norah got too drunk.

Susanna thought Sean was quite a bit slow in dealing with emotions.

He should have come when Norah texted him earlier. She was quite bored with drinking and wanted to go home and get some rest.

"I'm not drunk. I'm fine," Norah said, giggling. The neon danced and reflected beautifully in her eyes.

Susanna appeared quite put out with Norah's behavior, so she said, “How about we go back, Norah? I don't want to play anymore.”

“Alright, I'll call a chauffeur and drop you off on the way," Norah said, gulping down her last glass of alcohol.

"Okay."

Frieda and Bart exchanged glances.

Bart stood up and said, "Susanna, let's take you guys home. Norah is quite drunk and can hardly walk. Frieda, you should help her."

Norah held onto Frieda for support, while Susanna held onto Bart, and then the four of them walked toward the door.

Feeling Norah's swaying body and watching her dazed look, Frieda assumed Norah was drunk.

"You both are drunk. It's not safe for you to have a chauffeur take you home. Why about Bart and I take you guys home instead? I remember that Norah drove here," Frieda offered.

"I'm not drunk. You don't have to worry about us. I'll take Norah home," Susanna said. She then broke free of Bart and went to Norah.

"I'll call Sean to arrange for someone to pick me up. You both should go back. Arya and the others should be waiting for you."

"No, that won't do," Bart said, signaling Frieda.
