Chapter: 246
Inside the surgery room, Norah was concentrating fully on the operation, despite feeling exhausted from previous surgeries.

The cut on Joanna's stomach was both wide and deep, impacting multiple organs. Norah meticulously stitched up the damaged areas and eventually sealed the stomach wound.

Norah was engrossed in her work, with sweat gathering on her brow.

As Norah was threading the needle, someone gently wiped her forehead with a towel.

“Stay calm. Take your time. You've got this." Norah recognized the voice as Gil's.

Gil had hurried to the surgery room after finding out Norah had volunteered to do the operation.

Norah said with calm authority, “Dr. Davies, could you assist with the surgical procedures? I came straight here and didn't get to it.”

"Don't worry about it. I'll handle that part. Just concentrate on getting the patient stable."

"Alright." Norah took a deep breath and returned her focus to the task at hand.

Over two hours later, the lights in the operating room were dimmed.

The Andrews family was waiting anxiously.

“Doctor, how is Joanna now?"

“Will Joanna be alright?"

The moment Norah appeared, she was met with a flurry of questions from the anxious Andrews family. She took off her mask and inhaled deeply. "Joanna is out of danger for now. She'll be in the ICU for a couple of days for close monitoring. Once she starts to get better, we'll move her to a regular room."

Raina, full of hope, questioned, "Will Joanna make it through?"

"Yes, she's going to be alright. You don't have to worry. I've got her covered." Norah's gentle voice was filled with determination. She aimed to comfort Joanna's family and find strength for herself as well.

“For now, you won't be able to go in to see her. You can just take a peek through the glass window."

Leading the way to the ICU, Norah showed signs of fatigue from the day's surgeries but hid her tiredness from the Andrews family.

Bryson, noticing Norah's tired look, showed concern. "Norah, a nurse told me you had just finished one operation before starting on Joanna.

How are you holding up?"

Norah simply brushed off the concern with a wave. “I'm okay."

When they got to the outside of the ward, Norah gestured toward Joanna inside, explaining, “It's a good thing I was here when I was needed. The cut was really bad. Waiting any longer could have been disastrous."

The Andrews family couldn't help but feel a chill run down their spine when they heard this.

Darwin, upset, voiced his frustration, "How could such a severe injury happen inside a hospital? How did the hospital security fail so badly that someone could attack with a knife?"
