Chapter: 319
"Certainly. Take care."

That night, upon returning home, Sean eagerly swapped his pillow for Norah's handmade buckwheat one. The scent of unique herbs enveloped him, lulling him into a swift slumber.

Two days passed.

Norah commenced a ten-day leave from the hospital. Subsequently, she planned to attend the Wilson family's birthday banquet before heading directly to Otland.

The banquet took place at the Blue Water Hotel. When Norah arrived, the parking lot was already brimming with luxury vehicles. Luna's parents, Corrin Wilson and Samira Wilson, greeted guests at the hotel entrance.

Right then, a white luxury car pulled to a stop, instantly drawing attention.

Recognizable to car aficionados, this globally limited-edition modified luxury vehicle symbolizes exceptional value.

Corrin and Samira both turned their attention toward the scene. The white car came to a stop in a parking spot. As the car door swung open, a leg adorned in red diamond-studded high heels elegantly made contact with the ground, followed by the emergence of a long red fishtail dress.

The woman possessed chestnut waves resembling seaweed, styled with a 3, 7 side parting. She donned sunglasses, and her vivid red Lips immediately drew attention. Her slender figure gracefully moved in the fishtail dress, exuding charm with every step.

Confused, Samira inquired, “Who is she?"

Corrin shook his head in puzzlement, carefully observing. "I don't know."

Corrin's birthday banquet doubled as a business banquet, with Corrin inviting individuals from the business realm who could engage in discussions regarding potential business collaborations.

Corrin was certain about his guest list and hadn't invited such a stunning woman.

Samira's expression darkened. "She's not your lover, is she?"

Corrin chuckled awkwardly. "Darling, that's absurd. But she does seem familiar, doesn't she?"

Samira scrutinized the woman and recognized a faint familiarity.

Right then, Luna emerged from the hotel with her little girl. “Mom, dad, she's Norah. Have you forgotten about her?"

Samira's and Corrin's memories of Norah resurfaced suddenly, leaving them enlightened.

Samira blinked in surprise. "There hasn't been any news since Norah divorced Derek. I didn't expect her to attend this birthday banquet."

Her remark carried a peculiar tone as she added, “I had thought she'd forgotten about the Wilson family."

Obviously, this remark was directed at Norah with intent.

Samira continued to mock, “When she married into the Carter family, she represented the Wilsons. But after reaping the benefits, she abandoned us."

Of course, Norah heard the remarks. She halted before them and removed her sunglasses, revealing her radiant face. "Mr. and Mrs. Wilson, it's been a while."

Despite having not seen Norah for quite some time, Samira and Corrin had never shown care for Norah, caring only about the advantages they reaped from Norah's marriage with Derek.
