Chapter: 322
"Here's the birthday gift from the Carter family. We certainly don't want any rumors about our lack of etiquette."

Samira accepted it with a sour expression. "Thank you, Mrs. Carter."

Once everyone was inside, Samira discreetly opened the box, revealing a mediocre jade pendant. She promptly shut the box, approached Corrin, and clenched her teeth. "She speaks with such disdain, and this is the rubbish she presents. Who does she think she is?" The pendant was petite, likely valued at less than twenty thousand.

Corrin examined it. His attention focused on Sharon and Kathy.

“Whoever has the gold makes the rules. Let them be cocky for now.

Once our family thrives, we'll make them pay."

He etched the humiliations endured over the years deep into his heart, anticipating the opportunity to retaliate step by step.

“Norah is different now. We simply need to pacify her and persuade her to keep supporting the Wilson family. As someone without close family ties, what she desires most is familial affection. A few kind words might instill belief in us," Corrin suggested.

Samira nodded. "Got it. I am confident in handling Norah."

To Samira, Norah was simply an orphan who stumbled upon a fantastic opportunity and gained wealth. ALl could be owed to the opportunities they facilitated. If Luna hadn't been pregnant with another man's child at that time, Norah, an outsider, wouldn't have had the opportunity to marry Derek, let alone relish wealth and Luxury.

Luna and Norah strolled together. Holding Luna's hand, the well- mannered Shayla refrained from crying or causing a commotion, obediently walking.

"I didn't anticipate you having some tricks and managing to secure a share from the Carter family," Luna couldn't resist mocking.

After Norah married Derek, Luna had inquired about Norah's situation.

The knowledge of Norah's mistreatment, subjected to the humiliation by Sharon and Kathy, left Luna feeling lucky for not having married Derek.

Derek, being bedridden after the car incident, was essentially a vegetable. Therefore, without Derek to step up for her, Norah's married life was far from pleasant and grew worse with Kathy's and Sharon's constant mocking and bossing around. Luna felt Norah was a pushover.

Later, when Derek finally woke up from the coma, Luna had assumed Norah's good days had begun, thinking Derek would defend Norah.

However, Norah's life remained unchanged, transitioning to Derek's personal attendant, always at his disposal and remarkably obedient.

Given the above information, Luna genuinely believed Norah was weak and submissive. Therefore, Sharon's revelation of Norah having claimed two-thirds of the Carter family's assets shocked Luna.

Luna commented, “Sure enough, first love is unforgettable for men.

When Madeline returned, Derek promptly abandoned you. I did pity your life with the Carter family, but upon discovering you divorced and acquired substantial property, I suddenly didn't find you as pitiable.”

Luna assumed Norah could remarry, but wealth was not easily acquired.

At the thought of this, she tightened her grip on Shayla and declared, "Norah, it was the Wilson family that granted you the opportunity to marry Derek. You should acknowledge that!"

Norah's red high heels came to a stop. She inclined her head slightly, appearing serious. "So, what are you trying to get at?"

Luna ground her teeth. "A portion of the Carter family's property should be allocated to the Wilson family!"
