Chapter: 502
Although Alice had a few firearms stashed in her house, including some pistols, bullets, and three rifles, they were quite distinct from the munitions sold by the Breaker.
Eager to take action, Norah had already devised a plan for selling the intercepted munitions.
“I will repay Sean the money he had spent," Norah declared.
Norah had a clear plan in mind, determining what she could take and couldn't. Accepting thirty million dollars was not within the realm of reason for her.
“Here's the thing, Norah. You better not owe a man too much. Thirty million dollars is excessive. I still have ten million dollars in my account. If you need it, withdraw it." Alice wasn't overly concerned about money. As long as she remained alive, she wasn't worried about her ability to generate income.
“Thanks, but I'll make sure to have enough. Just take care of yourself Norah inclined her head toward Alice's forehead and uttered, “I have additional tasks to attend to, so I must depart now."
“Understood. Take care." Alice cast a concerned gaze upon Norah's retreating figure. Were she in good health, she could accompany Norah and offer assistance.
Unaware of Alice's thoughts, Norah hailed a taxi at the hospital entrance. “Head to the SN Shopping Mall."
Situated in the thriving financial hub of Lochdeer, the mall boasted a prime location.
Upon arrival, Norah entered the shopping mall and acquired a black peaked cap. She donned a mask and utilized the concealed elevator within the building, descending directly to the fifth basement level.
As the elevator doors slid open, a pristine and immaculate silvery- white space unfolded before her.
Advancing, she encountered a massive door affixed to the wall. The tightly sealed, frigid door rebuffed outsiders, exuding an air of cold, unyielding scientific research. It functioned as a research institution.
Norah approached the door and unlocked it with her pupils and fingerprints. The door swung open.
Moving through the silver-white corridor imbued with a profound sense of science and technology, all that met her gaze were staff members adorned in white coats. They sported work identification cards on their chests and held information in their hands as they hurried back and forth.
This comprised the most extensive underground research laboratory in Lochdeer, dedicated to investigations into various pharmaceuticals and government-funded programs.
Upon Norah's entrance, numerous researchers exchanged puzzled glances in her direction.
"Who is she?"
"Why are outsiders allowed in the lab now?"
"Oh, she works here? But why's she dressed like that?"
Norah didn't respond and made her way to the deepest part of the laboratory.
She closed the lab door behind her to block out the whispering and curious glances. Then, she removed her mask.
This lab was hers and hers alone. Norah had once treated a high- ranking official from Otland. Her only condition was to have her own independent lab here, with full ownership.
Inside the lab, there were various advanced pieces of equipment, making it perhaps the best medical and pharmaceutical lab in Otland.
Norah was here to create some medications with equipment and managed to get them back to her country.
