Chapter: 615
Elsa had kept up with every piece of gossip and news about Norah.
"Norah Wilson?"
Elsa called Norah out while everyone watched Norah enter with bated breath.
"Do you know her, Elsa?" Iker asked, frowning.
He was unhappy because Elsa hadn't shared any information about Norah.
"I never expected her to be a part of our family,” Elsa muttered.
She only knew Norah was from Glophia.
"Do you know me?" Norah asked, arching an eyebrow.
She stood before the crowd and smiled confidently. “Good evening. Let me introduce myself to you all. I'm Norah Wilson, Calvin's daughter."
Gilda had explained the family genealogy to her.
A permanent smile was etched on Iker's face as he introduced everyone to her one after the other. "Norah, I'm Iker Wilson, your father's oldest brother. She's my wife Mindy. That's your cousin, Elsa. Next to her is her husband, Larry Hayes. That man is your cousin, Hank.
Beside him is his wife, Hadley and their child."
Norah nodded, smiling in acknowledgment.
The household was prosperous.
Norah discovered that the woman who had called out her name was her cousin Elsa.
Since everyone was meeting Norah for the first time, they were friendly.
Mindy asked her many questions with concern, like how her life had been and all the hurdles she had crossed over the years.
Elsa inquired about her life in the Carter family. She was polite, trying her best not to sound offensive.
Fortunately, Norah and Gilda's worries didn't come true.
Gilda stood by the door and watched Norah mingle with her uncle's family. She felt weird. After all, Iker and his family were known for being mean. Surprisingly, they were kind to Norah on their first meeting. It made Gilda wonder if they were conspiring against Norah.
“Chayce, Iker may have evil intentions behind his smile. Mindy's smile seems wry. I'm pretty sure they have ulterior motives."
However, Chayce remained calm.
“Gilda, Miss Norah isn't as incompetent as you think. She can effortlessly handle these situations."
Gilda rolled her eyes. “Do you think I'ma fool? Keep your reminders to yourself."
